inspection and NDT

Your transformers must be the object of a preventive and regular maintenance. APAVE Indian Ocean accompanies you in this approach…

An effective maintenance of your transformers will help you to decide all the malfunctioning of the equipments and to plan the interventions on them while minimizing the stopping of operations.

Moreover, transformers are devices whose replacement requires important investments. The preventive maintenance will allow the planning of these investments to be made according to the state of the device.

It is recommended to realize regular visual inspection of the transformer so as to control the cleanness and general state of the transformer, but also to realize preventive maintenance by analyzing the oil.

Submerged hermetic transformers or breathing submerged transformers have active parts which soak in a dielectric fluid. This fluid has various roles in the device, one of which is to convey heat and to act as an electrical insulator.  It is also responsible for the transport of elements resulting from the degradation of the transformer.

By analyzing the oil, it will be possible to verify the properties of the dielectric fluid and to detect any flaw of the active parts of the transformer and of cellulosic insulators.

APAVE Indian Ocean is concerned to help its clients for preventive maintenance of their equipments. Therefore we accompany them in their approach, through the realization of the transformer’s oil analysis.

We sample the oils and convey them to a French laboratory, specialist of the diagnosis of the state of transformers by the testing of fluids. These are modular and include the dissolved gas testing by gas chromatography, fluid rigidity analysis, its water content and acidity index.

The specialists interpret the results obtained from these tests, so as to determine the evolution of the state of functioning of the material and to recommend the actions to be taken.
