Since the establishment of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, there has barely been any updating or amendement of rules and regulations concerning Health and Safety in Mauritius, though we can understand that some companies presently do not follow the preconisations of this Act, and do not receive any enquiry about the way health and safety is being managed within their place of work. Should Health and Safety regulations be reviewed in Mauritius, with for exemple amendement of the OSHA 2005, the addition of some new regulations and rules, more strict and abbiding for all the companies, and establishment of regular controls on safety aspects within the enterprises?
