Training on lifting equipments

Every year, APAVE Indian Ocean organizes training sessions on lifting equipments, their utilization and the safety rules to adopt.Scheduled for the month of March 2010, the 6 themes which are going to be developped are the following: • Mobile cranes: Experienced drivers - 3 days • Tower cranes: Experienced drivers - 3 days • Mobile conveyor cranes and slinging - 2.5 days • Preparation for authorization to work in height - 2 days • Machines used on sites: experienced drivers - 2.5 days • Fork-lifts: Experienced drivers - 3 days These trainings take place in-house and again in 2009, we propose them to our clients. Our trainer, Mr. Eugθne CAMPAGNARO, started at APAVE as inspector for lifting and handling machines in 1976. He has lead various interventions for the control of lifting equipments on construction sites, interventions in technical industrial assistance and maintenance of lifting equipments, as well as the verification and setting up of ministerial decrees on safety on sites in France. Mr. Campagnaro has also lead many training sessions for forklift drivers, staff working on elevators and in height. Moreover, he intervened for APAVE Indian Ocean for trainings on lifting equipments since 2005. The objectives of trainings on lifting equipments are that the participants are able: • To drive these equipments in total respect of safety rules, • To understand the principles of their functioning and the theory linked to operations of slinging of various weights, • To recognize the good practices to have while manipulating, verifying and the maintenance of these equipments, for a maximum of safety.
